Design-Stage AssessmentAs the design progresses we collect the considerable amount of evidence required for the Design-Stage Assessment. We issue a report detailing what is still required, updating it as information comes in. Once all the evidence has been collated and you are satisfied with the score indicated we will convey the information to the BRE. When they have completed the required QA checks, the BRE will issue the design-stage certificate. |
Post-Construction Stage AssessmentPCA is required for Code and optional for EcoHomes. It entails verifying that the features on which the Design-Stage Assessment was based were incorporated into the development. During construction, as-built evidence will be collected, and at least one site visit will be conducted. The PCA will generally take place in several stages, as dwellings are released. The results will be sent to the BRE for final certificates to be issued. |
Home User GuideProvision of a suitable Home User Guide in plain language, containing information not only about the home but also about the locality (including bus timetables and maps), is worth at least 3 points on the score. If required we can produce electronic copy of a guide, for the client to add their logo, convert to their house style, and print. The guide can be produced in English, Welsh and other languages, and on other media. |
