Measurable results to maximise ratings

Pre-Assessment

In the pre-assessment phase we will work with you to provide the information you need to make design decisions which will result in the EcoHomes or Code ratings you seek. During this phase we can select and co-ordinate our ancillary services (see below) to boost your score. To keep the project on track we provide a spreadsheet which predicts the score and highlights actions required. You will also receive a concise report which fills in the required detail in an accessible format. Both these documents are updated as the project progresses.

SAP Assessments

Both design-stage and as-built SAP Assessments can be carried out and co-ordinated to meet EcoHomes and Code requireents. They will also meet the requirements of Building Regulations Part L. In the initial stages SAP assessments of representative properties can be performed to help with the design.

Transport & Amenities Survey (not required for Code)

To meet the EcoHomes requirements of Tra 1 (Public Transport) and Tra 3 (Local Amenities) we will investigate the public transport services, survey the area, and provide a map pinpointing relevant amenities and showing safe walking routes, to gain the maximum credits possible.

Renewable Energy Feasibility Study

An independent report can be provided to meet the requirements of EcoHomes or Code. Credits will be earned if the recommendations of the study are implemented.

Ecological Surveys

We can advise on whether a comprehensive ecological survey would be likely to yield a good score, or whether a targeted survey would be more cost-effective.

Daylighting Calculations

Test calculations are carried out as part of our Pre-Assessment. The results will indicate whether it would be worth performing definitive calculations.
